人工電子耳植入手術及術後聽語成效研究:(林鴻清教授、陳姵妤醫師、褚嘉慧主任 負責)

人工電子耳之硬體設備已購置完成,軟體之人員培訓亦已成熟。自1998年10月至今,本院林鴻清醫師已成功植入250例人工電子耳,已建立醫院之信譽。在術後的聽語成效研究上,再由陳姵妤醫師一起合作研究。

遺傳聽力醫學:(蔡循典 博士負責)

林鴻清醫師為臺灣新生兒聽力篩檢推手,且馬偕新生兒聽力篩檢成績執國內之牛耳。千分之一活產新生兒為重度先天性聽障,其中超過一半為遺傳成因,且為單一基因突變,聽障基因數目雖近百,但以連結素26佔最大宗。

語言科學研究組:(謝麗君 醫師負責)

主要研究方向為 (1)舌部超音波與聲學訊號;(2)建立中文語料鼻音分析之常模。

馬偕醫學院聽語學系暨研究所之設立與後續發展:(林鴻清教授、謝麗君主任、王瀛標部長 負責)

起初是由醫研部「聽力語言科學研究組」為班底創立馬偕醫學院聽語學系,連動馬偕醫院提供學校有完善之實習、研究環境。馬偕聽語系之充配研究人力資源,可以回饋馬偕紀念醫院之聽語服務,保有競爭力,以能永續發展。
